This time it will be a special one!

We invite guest guide Marie Peeters to take us into the art world and discover many galleries in and around the Louizabuurt.

ART WALK?

From looking at art, looking at the world with the same view. Always amazed to question where we are and what makes music, poetry, living together, thoughts, film, history, food,... a life.

In the book SPUITWATER I discuss this by speaking to 28 personalities within the world of visual arts.

From here we continue our exploration. In Brussels. Along galleries, along streets and squares, past chance encounters.

We look for everything that can always be different.

Choose a starting point and then we will be guided by the places to discover nearby and chance.

Brussels has its own dynamic. There are connections with Paris and New York and the city also succeeds in creating a specific biotope for galleries and (art) lovers.

The way it is now has roots in the 19th century, the 60s and 70s...

Dynamics through time that are certainly still present together.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

We start at the Ponds of Ixelles, near Café Belga, on the terrace in front.

The walk takes about 2 hours and we visit several galleries in and around the Louise neighborhood.

Marie is obsessed with art and succeeds in making it very accessible and manageable. If you like art, this walk is ideal.  And if you don't know much about it, let yourself be surprised!
